12:39 PMAren't everything with "tint", "pack", "tattoo" on them all the rage nowadays? I'm pretty sure you've seen a picture of someone using Berrisom's lip tattoo at least once. Even Tina Yong had a video using peel-off makeup and got 4 million views. She was using this product and said it was pretty good!
I saw Etude's Tint My Brows Gel on an Instagram shop and it was only $8, so it was a great deal and I wanted to try it out for a review. Plus, drawing on my brows everyday is REALLY tiring. I do wish my untouched brows looked decent enough. But until that day comes, I'll have to fill them out every time I go out. I only have 30 minutes to get ready in the morning, and I'd really like to a spend good deal of them on extra shut eye, not eyebrows. So since this tint does claim to last for up to a week, what's there to lose? Even if they fade, it'll be easier for me to fill my brows in the morning because the faint shape will still be visible.
Maybe when I'm older I'll get my brows embroidered, considering how natural-looking advanced current (and future) brow embroidery is. People even get brow extensions now. Honestly, brow extensions sound disgusting but they don't use real hair so don't freak out! At least, that's what I know (or maybe they actually do...). Fun fact: my grandma got her brows tattooed back in the day and after a while they turned green!!! They were semi-permanent so those green tadpoles are gone now.

Product Description
What it is
New-concept eyebrow gel tint that makes eyebrow makeup last longer after removing the tint.
How to apply
- After trimming the eyebrows without applying skincare product or makeup, apply a liberal amount according to the desired shape of the eyebrow. (Apply a liberal amount to remove the pack easily.)
- Dry for at least 2 hours. For stronger coloration, apply before going to bed at night and remove the next morning.
- After drying completely, remove slowly starting from the tail of the eyebrow. (Do not remove the pack forcibly as it may pull out the eyebrow.)
- Do not use a cleansing product (product with detergent) or apply force on the eyebrow area within 24 hours of using the product.

So it comes in a glossy brown box with instructions and such. The tube itself is bulkier than I thought, it's like a mascara tube. Still, these are pretty small. Inside, you have a flat brush which is thin and flexible. I can't say much on how the brush works for coating your brows. Honestly, I messed up quite badly the first time I tried it on. But my loyal Q-tips were quick for damage control.
Swatches
I got mine in the shade #3 Gray Brown, which is exactly like its name. It's an ashy gray brown with neutral undertones, perfect for those with dark to black hair. Depending on the look I want, I like to switch between ashy and warm browns. Ashy browns give you a strong, fierce look while warm browns make you look cute. What I despise is reddish browns, they clash so horribly with my skin and hair.
So, here's how it looks on my hand. I was supposed to leave it on for 2 hours, but by the first hour it dried up and accidentally flaked off my hand. It turns out that the pigmentation was great! The color was exactly how I wanted even when I left it on half the minimum time.

In the photo it looks faint, but in real life it's pretty opaque. It's been 5 days since I swatched it and the tint's still there. Only now it's faded into a yellowish brown. Someone asked me yesterday if that was a birthmark.
When I first applied it, I was in shock because the gel looked red! It was mostly dark-ish brown, but on the parts where I applied a thin layer it was deep red. After lots of reapplying, the red was completely gone. I looked horrible after the application, though I do see the prospect of these brows becoming the new runway trend for Fall 2016.
I applied it at 12 PM and peeled it off at 3 PM. The result is pretty much like its name, gray brown. In real life it looks darker, on the start of the brow you can see some redness. I don't know what it is but I was surprised. I thought it was gonna stay that way. It did fade after while.
Performance
First, the gel itself. The gel is REALLY thick, it's like goo but spreadable. It smells like fancy hotels. I DON'T KNOW WHY, but it just smells of fancy hotels. It's smells luxurious, which is a weird adjective to describe goo. After a while you do get sick of the scent and it'll start to smell more like chemicals. The scent really stays, even after a day!
The application was actually a pretty hard thing for me to do. Maybe I didn't apply thick enough, because it streaked badly and achieving the shape that I wanted needed lots of effort. I had to spend 10-15 minutes on each brow because I was scared they would be asymmetric and splotchy. Yep, brows are sisters, not twins, but it irks me when the start of my brows don't align. I applied it a little shorter at the start because I don't like boxy eyebrows, I left out some space for me to manually draw the start for a more natural, ombre look.
After 3 hours, I peeled them off from the tail and it was painful! It didn't pluck any hair out but it stung my skin, maybe that's why it looked so red. I should've left it on longer because the gel didn't really tint all of the parts I wanted it to, like the bottoms brows. But they do look super natural and the color suits me. It looks patchy but in real life it doesn't, maybe I didn't apply enough product to the skin part and I should've left it on overnight for better pigmentation.
After that, I didn't cleanse my brows (you're not supposed to within 24 hours of applying) but getting water on them was inevitable, so they slightly faded to a dark, warm brown. Considering the name, I thought it would fade into something grey but all it did was get yellower. It's still on my hand and brows as I'm writing this, and they look somewhere between brown and blonde.
Honestly, I didn't expect it to last longer than a couple of days, but these guys are tough. It's been 5 days and the tint is still there, only the color's changed. I wish I'd left it on longer and applied it thicker!
All in All
So all in all, I do say it's a pretty good product, it lives up to all its claims. The pigmentation is decent but it's better to leave it on overnight, the application is streaky if you apply it thinly but easy if you do a thick layer, the result is a natural tint that makes your brows look thicker without being fake. Of course, it doesn't give you flawless Instagram eyebrows, but it's nice for those who're looking for a natural look and those who can't bother to draw their brows everyday. I wish it faded to a light grey rather than this yellowish blonde that looks nothing like my hair.
My tip is, if you're getting it, to apply a thick layer and leave it on overnight. I'm gonna try it again tomorrow night, and maybe I'll insert the updated results. You can get the Tint My Brows Gel at Etude House, ibuybeauti, Jolse, etc!

Hello, thanks for reading! I left it on overnight and the color turned out a lot more opaque, was less patchy, and it lasted longer (almost a week). The color will eventually change to yellow after a few days, though. I hope you enjoy the product! :)
